Designed by Burnham Brothers, this Chicago historic building was constructed in 1923. Formally known as the Justice Michael Bilandic State of Illinois Building and State of Illinois Building, it was renamed in honor of former Chicago mayor and Illinois Supreme Court justice Michael A. Bilandic. The 21-story high rise is located at 160 North LaSalle Street in the Loop community area of Chicago and currently houses offices and courtrooms for the Illinois Supreme Court and Illinois Appellate Court, as well as legislative offices, several state agencies, and a child day care center.
